| With clouds shrowding her base, Mt. Rainier rises above the Washington cascades glowing pink in the soft predawn light. With visibility the previous evening at less than 40 feet, I was awestruck by the site I awoke to on this morning. The stillness of the morning and the intensity of color on the side of the mountain will remain etched into my memory forever. |
