With only a few minutes left before the sun dipped behind the nearby trees, this Long-billed Dowitcher paused only briefly from feeding to look up and stretch, revealing the patterns of the wing and tail feathers in a beautiful display. This bird will continue to feed until continuing its southbound migration in the cool of night.
